From a stack of tee shirts...to this...

A stack of tee shirts retrieved from the attic, add a little black fabric, some batting and thread and it's a tee shirt quilt for my husband! Which he loves by the way!A lot of fun memories brought back in a flash seeing those tee shirts again. The quilt  ended up being 90x68, quilted with a motorcycle design that I bought when I first got my longarm machine. I finally got around to using it on something! Even I like this quilt. The colors really pop against the black fabric and will hold up well for traveling to classes and demos on making tee shirt quilts. The first one is tonight at the library...lots of phone calls showing interest! Should be a full house!

Finished February!

This is the second little quilt for the Quilt-a-month Challenge. I love it! The center block doesn's show but but says "Be Mine" I'm really enjoying doing these little quilts. I'll grab a few minutes at a time to sew and magically they are getting finished!By the end of the year I will have twelve new little quilts to hang on the door! Hoping next month is something green!
now back to work...

OK, the February Challenge is posted for the Quilt-a-Month Challenge. Here are the fabrics
that I've selected. The challenge is red and whites with a embroidered heart in the center and half square triangles in the broken dishes style surrounding. Well, never being a big fan of
the color red, I've chosen the next best thing... pink. The Quilt a Month challenge is again from Kathy Tracy's book PRARIE CHILDREN AND THEIR QUILTS. EQ here I come...One down, eleven to go...So looking forward to some time in the sewing room. I must confess, just getting out fabric and playing is pure joy! I know most of you get that!
